About the Geotechnical Investigation Cost Estimate Tool
This cost-estimation tool provides a preliminary evaluation of the expected cost of geotechnical site investigation works for building projects. The tool was primarily developed for projects located in the Middle East and GCC region.
Users should note that the exact investigation scope must always be defined by qualified geotechnical professionals, as project-specific conditions can significantly influence the required works. Adequate budgeting for soil investigation is essential to properly quantify and mitigate geotechnical risks.
When selecting a geotechnical investigation subcontractor, cost alone should not be the deciding factor. A technical evaluation by experienced experts is recommended to ensure the proposed methods, equipment, accreditation, and workmanship meet project requirements.
This tool is intended solely as a rough, preliminary cost-estimation aid. It is advisable to obtain at least three formal quotations from reputable soil investigation subcontractors before finalizing the project budget.

This tool is primarily derived from Orycta’s in-house expertise and historical cost data, based on extensive experience reviewing and evaluating soil investigation proposals for residential and commercial building projects across the UAE and wider GCC region.
